This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the planning and protection of vital transport corridors in one of the fastest-growing regions of Queensland. As a Corridor Management Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the road network while supporting sustainable development.


Position Overview

The Corridor Management Engineer provides technical expertise in assessing third-party road infrastructure projects and activities within transport corridors. The role ensures compliance with legislative requirements and supports the integrity of the transport network across the Gold Coast region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and review applications for works within transport corridors.
  • Deliver engineering advice on development control and road network matters.
  • Prepare technical reports and correspondence for stakeholders.
  • Monitor and audit third-party works for compliance with approvals and standards.
  • Support investigations into complaints and requests related to development assessments.
  • Contribute to technical design reviews and planning processes to achieve best practice outcomes.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Current Class C driver’s licence and Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
  • Ability to provide own PPE and undertake criminal history screening.

Skills and Attributes
  • Strong technical knowledge of road infrastructure and development assessment processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within legislative timelines.
  • Collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement.

Contract Details
  • Duration: 9 March 2026 – 29 February 2028
  • Hourly Rate: $67.95 – $74.00 plus superannuation
