- Conduct assessments to verify individual competencies in process plant operation and machine handling, including skid steers, loaders, excavators, and overhead cranes.
- Support new passouts through initial theory sessions and practical, in-field competency evaluations, tailoring assessments based on individual capabilities.
- Promote safety and best practices within the plant environment, ensuring all personnel meet required standards and certifications.
- Engage with team members across multiple organisational levels to foster continuous improvement and skills development.
- Proven experience in training and assessing fixed plant isolations, equipment, and mobile plant.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and build rapport with diverse learners.
- Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise tasks, and work independently or collaboratively.
- Ability to conduct practical assessments, including working at heights and confined spaces.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety standards, including high-risk work licenses.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
- Certificates and experience in operating skid steers, telehandlers, IT loaders, excavators, and overhead cranes.
- High-risk work licenses such as LF, WP, DG, RB, and crane licences.
- Additional safety certifications like First Aid, Work at Heights, Confined Space, and Gas Test Atmospheres.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 / TAE40122) or equivalent (TAESS00015 / TAESS00019).
- Relevant resource processing qualifications (Certificate II/III or IV) or progress towards completion.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or team leader role within resource processing environments is highly regarded.
- Valid C-class driver’s licence (HR preferred).
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and on uneven terrain.
- Flexibility to undertake assessments across multiple shifts and locations.
- Commitment to safety and continuous learning.
