What You Need to Succeed:

• Proven experience (minimum of 2 years) as a Track Machine Operator, with hands-on familiarity with Plasser machinery such as the 09-3x Tamper, SSP Regulators, Unimat Tamper, and Track Stabiliser
• Solid understanding of rail operations and maintenance procedures
• Certification in Cert II Rail Infrastructure (minimum); Cert III preferred
• Trade qualification in mechanical or electrical disciplines (highly desirable)
• Competent in operating advanced rail resurfacing equipment, including Tampers and Regulators, for both maintenance and construction activities
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and accurately document inspections
• Knowledge of ALC software is beneficial
• Valid full C Class Driver’s License or higher with no restrictions; HR license preferred (but not essential)
• Construction Card (white/blue) and 4WD Training certifications
• Ability to pass Railway Category 1 Medical and drug/alcohol testing
• Embrace a safety-first mindset and robust safety protocols

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with mining or remote work environments
• Exposure to rail resurfacing equipment and comprehensive knowledge of industry safety standards
• Experience with machinery maintenance diagnostics and troubleshooting

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years in track machine operation or similar rail maintenance roles
• Relevant certifications supporting technical expertise in rail infrastructure and machinery

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to work a 12-hour day shift on a 12/9 FIFO roster
• Ability to travel to multiple sites as part of a mobile rail operations team
• Focused on safety, quality, and continuous learning in a fast-paced environment
