What You Need to Succeed:
- Proven experience (minimum of 2 years) as a Track Machine Operator, with hands-on familiarity with Plasser machinery such as the 09-3x Tamper, SSP Regulators, Unimat Tamper, and Track Stabiliser
- Solid understanding of rail operations and maintenance procedures
- Certification in Cert II Rail Infrastructure (minimum); Cert III preferred
- Trade qualification in mechanical or electrical disciplines (highly desirable)
- Competent in operating advanced rail resurfacing equipment, including Tampers and Regulators, for both maintenance and construction activities
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and accurately document inspections
- Knowledge of ALC software is beneficial
- Valid full C Class Driver’s License or higher with no restrictions; HR license preferred (but not essential)
- Construction Card (white/blue) and 4WD Training certifications
- Ability to pass Railway Category 1 Medical and drug/alcohol testing
- Embrace a safety-first mindset and robust safety protocols
- Experience with mining or remote work environments
- Exposure to rail resurfacing equipment and comprehensive knowledge of industry safety standards
- Experience with machinery maintenance diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Minimum of 2 years in track machine operation or similar rail maintenance roles
- Relevant certifications supporting technical expertise in rail infrastructure and machinery
- Willingness to work a 12-hour day shift on a 12/9 FIFO roster
- Ability to travel to multiple sites as part of a mobile rail operations team
- Focused on safety, quality, and continuous learning in a fast-paced environment
