Telehandler Operator

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team to work on a Large Scale Solar Farm Project based approximately 35km East of Taupo. This exciting opportunity is slated to commence in the new year 2026
 
Position Details 

• Employment Duration: Approximately 9 months 
• Commencement date: January 2026
• Hourly Rate: $40 to $45 per hour, plus superannuation, overtime, and allowances 
• Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 58 hours per week 
• We are looking for Telehandler operators who hold a forklift endorsement licence  

 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
As a Solar Farm Telehandler operator, your duties will include: 

• Be responsible for assisting Labourers and the construction teams with erecting and mounting tubular frames and solar panel packs, 
• Relocating and restocking materials as they arrive at the site and completion of daily pre-start checks for machines.  
• Moving & relocating materials & supplies  
• Loading and Unloading trucks
• Assist with project layout

 
Requirements: 
To excel in this role, you must possess 

• Valid drivers licence and forklift endorsement licence  
• Previous experience operating telehandlers
• Need to have a Building Construction – Foundation Passport   
• Previous exposure to working mobile plant environments 
• Successful completion of a pre-employment mobility/fitness assessment and drug & alcohol screening
