Team Leader - Pavement Program Delivery
Location:
Singleton Works Centre
Duration:
ASAP start – up to 6 months (potential for extension)
Hours:
6:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (9-day fortnight)
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Team Leader to support the delivery of pavement works across the Upper Hunter District. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in road maintenance and construction, and a passion for leading teams and managing quality outcomes.
About the Role
As Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of pavement-related works including reseals, asphalt heavy patching, and resurfacing via contract. You will also manage other contracted works within the district’s program, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a small team in accordance with the Position Description
- Coordinate and deliver pavement works across the Upper Hunter District
- Manage contractors and ensure compliance with quality systems
- Support the successful execution of the district’s pavement program
Essential Requirements
- Broad experience in road maintenance and construction
- Proven ability to supervise small teams
- Current Construction Industry White Card
- Current Australian Class C Driver Licence
- Workers on Foot certification
Preferred Experience
- Strong understanding of pavement works (asphalt, resealing)
- Familiarity with quality assurance systems
- Additional relevant tickets or licences
Working Conditions
- Standard hours: 6:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
- 9-day fortnight
