Sustainability in Design Advisor
6-Month Contract | State Government | Adelaide, SA | $565 Daily Rate
Our client, a leading government agency, is seeking a proactive and experienced Sustainability in Design Advisor
to support and embed sustainability and safety principles across infrastructure projects and capital works.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team driving practical, forward-thinking initiatives across the design and delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and guide the application of Sustainability and Safety in Design (SuiD) principles across planning and delivery stages of infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to promote best practice design outcomes that are safe, sustainable, and compliant.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of tools, processes, and education materials for SuiD.
- Facilitate workshops, provide training, and promote awareness across departments.
- Monitor, review, and report on the application of SuiD practices and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and sustainability frameworks, supporting a culture of safety and innovation.
You’re a team-focused professional with a genuine passion for sustainability and safety. You bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in design, sustainability, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of capital delivery and design processes.
- Proven experience applying Sustainability and Safety in Design principles in a complex organisational context.
- Understanding of WHS legislation and audit frameworks (desirable).
- Confident facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
- This position is based in Adelaide, South Australia.
- Flexible hours with some after-hours or interstate travel required.
- Pre-employment clearances and relevant immunisations may be required.
- This role may involve participation in working groups and periodic reporting across multiple departments.
