Structural Laboratory Technician/Carpenter

Location: Acacia Ridge, QLD
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Role:  Permanent full time 
Salary: Dependant on experience 

About the Role:
Our client is looking for a skilled Structural Laboratory Technician / Carpenter to join their team in Acacia Ridge. This position involves supporting the Quality Manager with laboratory activities, conducting structural testing on wall and roofing products, and maintaining equipment to ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and timely structural testing on building products
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Conduct internal audits of the Quality System
• Manage records of costings, consumables, tools, and equipment
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth operations within the lab

Ideal Candidate:

• Background as a Service Technician or similar
• Strong troubleshooting skills and proficiency with hand/power tools
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Computer literacy and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Carpentry Trade 
• Knowledge of basic dogging and internal audit processes (advantageous)
• First Aid certification (helpful but not essential)
