Stores Officer

Position: Stores Officer
Location: Murdoch, WA
Employment Type: Casual (fulltime hours)
Pay rate: $41.72 per hour
Duration: Approx 3 months


Purpose of the Role
Responsible for the management of the Stores, Cleaning and Canteen Function as well as managing the purchase and distribution of all goods and food stuffs for use in the operations. 


Responsibilities

• Day to day supervision and instruction within the stores and cleaning area
• Maintain and coordinate the stock and purchasing of consumables
• Maintain safe and appropriate storage of stock and equipment for the store
• Oversee the receiving of all goods, produce and services
• Oversee the despatching of goods and produce 
• Ensure that all good and produce dispatched and received have been recorded
• Maintain the MSDS for all chemicals
• Ensure all required equipment for the store is in good working order
• Maintain an electronic stock control system for all goods distributed from the stores
• Complete stock takes 
• Plan, schedule and control daily work activity within stores area

• Australian citizen
• Previous Warehouse Leading Hand / Supervisory experience
• Current WA High Risk (LF) forklift licence
• Possess a valid Senior First Aid qualification (or equivalent) received from an accredited training provider
• Physically able to lift items up to 20kgs.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Organisational skills i.e., plan, prioritise, and complete work within set timeframes
• Cultural awareness i.e., understanding cultural and social issues
• Computer literacy i.e., Word, Excel and previous warehouse management systems
