Solution Architect

Our client AGL is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a dynamic team focused on delivering end-to-end solutions for complex business challenges. This role is pivotal in combining business and technical acumen to design solutions that enable strategic outcomes and drive continuous value.
As a Solution Architect, you will work closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives, implemented effectively, and adhere to best practices. You will also contribute to architecture standards, patterns, and forums, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. This is a contract role based in Melbourne in a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities
•    Design and deliver high-quality solutions within the Wholesale Energy technology landscape.
•    Ensure solutions meet expected standards and business outcomes through proactive reviews.
•    Assess estimates and proposals from partners and third-party vendors.
•    Align solutions with business strategy and drive best practices in implementation.
•    Participate in architecture forums and contribute to developing standards and patterns.
•    Identify and implement improvements to existing solutions and processes.

Skills & Experience
•    Extensive experience in solution design and architecture.
•    Strong track record of implementing enterprise-grade solutions.
•    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including system integration, APIs, and data.
•    Familiarity with modern software development techniques (e.g., microservices, CI/CD).
•    Experience in Wholesale Energy Trading solutions 
•    Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical).
•    Strong stakeholder management and ability to work in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
