Location: Perth, WA

Pay: $70.00 p/h+ Commission Structure (OTE approx. +$20K per annum)
An Australian-owned solar and battery installation company is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join their expanding team. Candidates with previous solar industry experience are preferred, though those eager to learn and grow in the sector are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical & Installation
- Install solar PV systems, including electrical wiring, inverter and panel mounting, testing, and main switch installation
- Perform high-quality, efficient, and safe installations for both residential and commercial projects
- Conduct pre-installation site visits
- Identify products and components needed for commercial installations
- Assist with after-sales service, including performance enquiries and warranty investigations
- Meet installation targets (minimum 5 installs per week, or 7 as a team)
- Travel for work as required (interstate or regional WA)
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of solar PV electrical gear and accessories
- Adhere to all OHS/WHS requirements
- Keep work vehicles clean, organised, and compliant
Operational & Team Support
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and partners
- Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, training, and advice
- Coordinate with sales teams, ensuring all documents are accurately uploaded to the CRM
- Review roof scopes submitted by Solar Consultants
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Installation Manager
Key Competencies
- Strong understanding of the PV solar industry or a willingness to learn
- Solid technical and troubleshooting skills
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and prioritisation abilities
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
- Trustworthy, reliable, and able to handle confidential information professionally
Required Qualifications
- A-Grade Electrical Licence
- White Card
- Working at Heights Certificate
- Manual Driver’s Licence
This role offers a competitive rate of $70 per hour plus a performance-based commission structure, with potential earnings of an additional $20K annually.
