We’re on the lookout for an experienced Construction Coordinator (SMP) to take charge of a major mining and construction project near Pinjarra, WA. This DIDO contract role offers the opportunity to step into a key leadership position where your site management and coordination skills will drive safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes in a dynamic heavy industry environment.

About the Role
You’ll oversee multiple contractor teams within an active mine site construction environment, ensuring every stage of the SMP scope is executed safely, on time, and to specification. You’ll take ownership of daily site operations, ensuring contractors meet project milestones while upholding the highest safety and quality standards. Acting as the key link between contractors, operations, and engineering teams, you’ll be the go-to person on site - keeping communication clear, risks managed, and performance consistent.
About You
- Applicable Trade qualification or Technical Experience (SMP, Civil)
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management (Preferred)
- Completion of BSBWHS414 and BSBWHS411 (Preferred)
- Extensive construction experience, including 5+ in a similar field or position
- Background in SMP, civil, or mining construction projects
- Must have full Australian work rights
- Lead and coordinate SMP construction activities across multiple work groups
- Drive site safety, QA/QC, and compliance with WHS and mining legislation
- Manage schedules, budgets, and scope changes effectively
- Oversee risk assessments, permits, and technical queries
- Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
- Proven team leadership and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- In-depth knowledge of WHS, mine site safety, and QA/QC procedures
- Experience in cost, budget, and program management
- Ability to implement QA/QC and conduct ITP/ITR verification and validation
