Job Description
We are currently seeking a Site Support Technician for a major client in the Bowen Basin.
- Contract Duration: 11 months
- Roster: 7 days on / 7 days off
- Hours: 12.5 hours per day (day shift only)
- Location: Moranbah
- Maintain day-to-day availability and operational readiness of site OT systems.
- Provide field support and expertise across a range of OT technologies, including:
- Fleet Management Systems (e.g., Modular, Terrain)
- Digital Radio Systems (DRS)
- Network Infrastructure and Servers
- CCTV and Security Access Systems
- Wireless Telemetry Systems (WTS) and LTE Networks
- Fuel Management Systems
- Site Control Systems (PLC/SCADA)
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist with the resolution of high-priority issues.
- Execute scheduled maintenance and repair tasks in accordance with work orders and supervisor direction.
- Support root cause analysis and implement solutions to enhance system reliability.
- Verify the quality and completeness of all work performed.
- Recommend updates to master data and work management systems when required.
- Complete work documentation and shift reporting accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A trade qualification in one of the following fields: Auto Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Electrical/Instrumentation, or Radio/LTE/Industrial Wireless Communications.
- Hands-on experience with operational technology in an industrial or mining setting.
- Familiarity with systems such as Digital Radio, Fleet Management, LTE/WTS networks, PLC/SCADA control systems, and Fuel Management.
- A strong commitment to safety and compliance within operational environments.
- The ability to prioritize and perform effectively in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.
- A proactive approach to identifying improvements and driving solutions.
- Ownership of technical tasks from conception to completion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration.
- A valid Australian C Class driver’s license.
- Exposure to coal or other heavy industry operations
- Open/unrestricted Cabling Licence
- SAP Work Management experience
- Training in Working at Heights, Confined Space, and First Aid
