Shop Assistant – Poultry Retail Store (Laverton Area) 📍 Laverton, VIC

🕒 4–5 Days per Week | Immediate Start Available
We are currently seeking an experienced Shop Assistant to join a busy poultry retail store in the Laverton area.
This role is best suited to someone with previous experience in a supermarket deli (Coles, Woolworths, IGA) or butcher shop, who is confident handling fresh meat products and delivering excellent customer service.

🔎 About the Role Duties will include:

• Serving customers and providing high-quality customer service
• Handling and preparing fresh poultry products
• Shelf stacking and stock rotation
• Price changes and ticketing
• Cash handling and EFTPOS transactions
• Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
• Working in chilled environments, including regular movement in and out of fridge and freezer areas

🗓 Working Hours

• 4–5 days per week
• Every second Saturday required
• Must be available between 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday(shifts vary within these hours)
• Saturday availability required between 8:00am – 3:00pm
• Up to 6-day availability required

✅ Requirements

• Previous experience in a supermarket deli or butcher shop (essential)
• Experience handling fresh meat or poultry products
• Strong retail and customer service skills
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg
• Comfortable working in cold environments, including fridge and freezer sections
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Full working rights in Australia
• Available to commence ASAP
