Chandler Macleod is seeking motivated and resilient Service Officers (APS4/5) to join our client’s team in a rewarding role that makes a real difference.
About the role
You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing quality service and handling sensitive or complex enquiries. This role requires empathy, sound judgement, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Key skills and experience
- Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to problem solve and make evidence-based decisions.
- Resilience, agility and self-management in a high workload environment.
- Strong sense of empathy with the ability to manage sensitive or escalated conversations.
- Research and decision-making skills underpinned by subject matter knowledge.
- Experience applying legislation, policies, and procedures in a work setting.
- Ability to handle complex calls and adapt to change.
- Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and/or service providers, with cultural competence and awareness of historical and contemporary issues.
- Previous customer service or administration experience.
