About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Wind Installation Engineer
to join a major renewable energy project. Reporting to the Wind Installation Package Manager, you will oversee engineering aspects of wind turbine installation and associated equipment, from initial planning through to construction and commissioning. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of engineering principles, project management experience, and a passion for renewable energy and innovative installation technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support supplier prequalification, bid evaluation, and contract negotiations in line with project schedules and budgets.
- Assist in the technical and commercial procurement of wind turbine installation equipment from tender through to installation.
- Assist in the management of wind turbine installation contracts from tender to installation.
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, project, supplier, and contractor teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications and project requirements.
- Monitor and report on manufacturing and installation progress, quality assurance, and delivery milestones.
- Support development and coordination of project deliverables to improve design maturity, scheduling accuracy, and cost definition.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years’ experience in energy projects and/or large-scale infrastructure projects; wind installation experience highly desirable.
- Proven experience in package or project engineering for major equipment and/or EPC contracts.
- Familiarity with wind turbine technology, installation, and interfaces.
- Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of contract management principles.
- Excellent technical evaluation, stakeholder coordination, and supplier management skills.
