Location:  Charlestown, NSW

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join a well-established consultancy delivering a diverse range of planning and development projects across NSW.

This role provides high-level planning advice to developers, stakeholders, and project teams while ensuring statutory compliance and quality outcomes across the built and natural environment.

Key Responsibilities
· Provide high-level, accurate town planning advice to clients and stakeholders
· Manage and assess Development Applications in accordance with NSW legislation
· Prepare planning assessments, reports, and conditions of consent
· Conduct pre-lodgement meetings and provide upfront strategic advice
· Liaise with councils, government departments, and approval authorities
· Inspect development sites as required
· Maintain currency with planning legislation, policy changes, and best practice

About You
· Degree qualified in Town/Urban Planning (or equivalent)
· Minimum 3+ years’ experience within the NSW planning system
· Strong understanding of the EP&A Act, planning instruments, and DA processes
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Organised, commercially aware, and able to work autonomously

This is a senior technical role offering flexibility, autonomy, and long-term career progression—without immediate Principal-level pressure.
