Our client is seeking a senior planner ready to lead people, manage complexity, and influence outcomes.
You’ll provide high-level statutory and strategic planning advice while managing and developing a team, supporting business growth, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders. There is no intention to immediately appoint at Principal or Deputy Principal level.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Town Planners and junior staff
· Manage complex and high-risk Development Applications end-to-end
· Provide expert planning advice to developers, councils, and stakeholders
· Oversee workflow, quality assurance, and statutory timeframes
· Contribute to business development, client relationships, and commercial strategy
· Draft and manage Planning Proposals and strategic planning projects
· Represent the business in meetings, briefings, and industry forums
About You
· Senior-level NSW town planning experience (consultancy or local government)
· Demonstrated people leadership and mentoring capability
· Strong commercial acumen and client-facing confidence
· Proven ability to interpret and apply planning legislation at a high level
· Comfortable presenting advice and managing stakeholder expectations
