Are you an experienced Senior Software Engineer looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to join a dynamic team in Melbourne CBD on a contract basis. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge technology solutions within a collaborative and agile environment. This is a six month contract role in a hybrid working environment. 

About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. You will play a key role in application architecture, coding, testing, and deployment, while driving continuous improvement and mentoring other developers.

Key Responsibilities
•    Design and develop software components, including coding, testing, and deployment scripting.
•    Build and maintain APIs and front-end applications using modern frameworks and best practices.
•    Collaborate with architects, business analysts, testers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
•    Implement automated unit, integration, and UI/API tests.
•    Contribute to system analysis, solution design, and feasibility activities.
•    Support production environments through monitoring, logging, and alerting.
•    Mentor junior developers and actively participate in technical forums.

Skills & Experience
•    Proven relevant industry experience in software development.
•    Strong experience with .NET, C#, Web API Azure DevOps and Terraform.
•    Expertise in API development using GitHub and SQL Server, Blazor, HTML5, CSS3, SASS
•    Familiarity with Azure services such as App Service, Functions, Storage, and CosmosDB.
•    Experience with RESTful APIs  and test-driven development.
•    Previous exposure to agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
•    Background in energy trading or financial services is highly regarded.
•    Tertiary qualification in technology or equivalent industry experience.
