About the Team
The Scheme Reforms and Transition Branch sits within the Scheme Transformation and Capability Division in Service Delivery. The Branch supports Frontline staff through significant Scheme reforms and manages the transition to New Framework Planning. It delivers support through six key workstreams:
- Change, Coordination and Delivery
- PACE Platform Operations
- Practice, Process and Productivity
- Project Strategy and Governance
- New Framework Planning Initiative Lead
- New Framework Planning Initiative Testing
About the Role
The Project Officer (APS6 equivalent) is accountable under limited direction and undertakes complex work guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and precedents. This team leadership role provides delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities.
The Project Officer will provide leadership, planning, resource management, performance management, and decision-making within the assigned work area. The role provides detailed technical, professional, policy, and operational support and advice on complex problems. It may also coordinate and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development to support the Agency’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage business documentation, including Service Blueprints relating to New Framework Planning and PACE Frontline system guidance.
- Provide specialist advice on New Framework Planning and technical system expertise to Frontline staff and internal stakeholders.
- Perform independent research and analysis, including preparing draft reports on relevant project activities.
- Prepare draft written materials such as business cases, plans, executive briefs, and corporate documentation.
- Contribute to project quality management to ensure deliverables meet Frontline staff needs.
- Coordinate regular project reporting, including status updates and exception reports.
- Apply project lifecycle experience, with exposure to Agile Ways of Working and Scrum highly desirable.
- Experience with Salesforce and/or Jira is highly advantageous.
You Must Have
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination, administration, or program support.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience providing technical or specialist advice and support.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools; Agile and Scrum experience highly desirable.
