Senior Project Engineer

FIFO to Weipa | 9:5 Roster | Tier‑1 Mining Organisation

Site‑based role responsible for delivering electrical work packages across a portfolio of Sustaining Capital projects. The position covers contractor management, technical oversight, procurement input, cost and schedule control, commissioning, and handover.

Reporting to the Manager – Project Delivery, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of electrical scopes on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on‑site electrical contractors and construction activities
• Manage QA, design compliance, and technical documentation
• Coordinate electrical works with multi‑disciplinary teams
• Oversee contractor performance, scheduling, and cost tracking
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover
• Promote and enforce strong HSE standards on site

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years site‑based electrical project execution experience
• Strong LV/HV electrical and commissioning knowledge
• Proven contractor management and communication skills
• FIFO‑ready with a strong safety focus

• FIFO to Weipa with travel and accommodation provided
• 9:5 roster
• Site LV provided while on shift
• Long‑term contract with a Tier‑1 mining organisation
