Bring your expertise to a key role in a major government infrastructure project. Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Materials Engineer for a 12-month, full-time contract based in Adelaide at Victoria Square. Make an impact by leading materials testing, evaluation, and quality assurance efforts in a dynamic environment.
Key Skills Needed:
- Extensive experience in materials engineering, including testing, evaluation, and selection
- Knowledge of construction standards, safety protocols, and quality control
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Experience with government infrastructure projects
- Sustainability and environmental considerations knowledge
- Familiarity with project management tools
- Professional certifications in ISO or materials testing
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials or Civil Engineering; Master’s preferred
- 5+ years in materials engineering, ideally within large infrastructure projects
- Proven leadership in technical oversight roles
- Immediate availability for a 12-month assignment
- Two references from direct managers
- Up-to-date police (within 6 months) and traffic checks
- Pre-employment declaration completion
- Rate: $68.14/hr (including casual loading), negotiable based on experience
