Job Title: Legal Secretary (2 x Positions) 

Location: Brisbane CBD
Employment Type: 12-month assignment 
Pay Rate:$49.40 – $54.81 per hour + super


About the Role:
We are seeking two experienced Legal Secretaries to provide high-quality and timely secretarial and administrative support within a professional legal team. You will assist the Executive Legal Secretary to ensure consistent, high-standard services across the team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • High-level, accurate word processing and typing.
  • Complex formatting of documents (Word, PowerPoint, PDFs).
  • Prepare briefs, documents, and manage routine correspondence.
  • Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation.
  • Manage information using Excel, practice management systems, and case management databases (VisualFiles).
  • Diary management, organise meetings, conferences, and appointments.
  • Maintain filing, records bring-up, and retrieval systems.
  • Assist legal professionals with billing, time recording, and financial deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with legal expense and counsel fee procedures.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients on confidential matters.
  • Communicate effectively to resolve issues and maintain professional standards.
  • Model client service standards and organisational values.
  • Work collaboratively with Practice Management Branch personnel.
  • Undertake other duties as required.


About You:
  • Demonstrated experience providing secretarial and administrative support in a legal environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organised, adaptive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to learn and contribute to continuous improvement.
