About the Opportunity
We are seeking two experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineers
to join a our highly sought client on a temporary assignment. This role is ideal for Chartered Engineers with proven hydraulic design expertise in the water industry, providing an opportunity to contribute to major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the state.
You will play a key role in technical investigations, design reviews, and advisory services, ensuring the delivery of innovative, safe, and sustainable engineering outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver complex hydraulic designs and support studies across water and wastewater systems.
- Lead and review hydraulic modelling using WaterGEMS and related software.
- Apply Safety in Design (SiD) principles across all design and project phases.
- Collaborate with engineering consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to achieve best-for-business outcomes.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of technical standards and design processes.
To succeed in this opportunity, you will bring:
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation – essential.
- Extensive experience in hydraulic design within the water industry.
- Proficiency with WaterGEMS and Bentley Hammer software.
- Proven experience across water and wastewater treatment systems, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of design criteria, material selection, and hydraulic equipment specification.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
