About the role:
- Manage more complex stakeholder relationships and escalated enquiries and cases including performance management, attendance issues, conduct matters, and other Australian Public Service employment framework issues
- Provide expert advice and interpretation of HR policies and procedures to staff
- Provide education, support and coaching to internal and external stakeholders on HR processes and procedures
- Analyse and interpret HR information to assist with the development of work plans and strategic planning for work areas
- Undertake and manage various HR projects including the preparation and delivery of training and presentations, and the implementation of national HR initiatives
- Collaborate with specialist HR teams and zone-based Workplace Health and Safety teams to provide nationally consistent HR advice and staff support. retention criteria.
About you:
- You will have experience in contemporary Human Resource Management (HRM) issues and practices, preferably within an Australian Public Service context
- You will have knowledge of the legislation governing HRM practices in the public sector, including the Australian Public Service Act 1999, Public Service Regulations 1999, and Public Service Commissioner's Directions 1999, and Fair Work Act 2009
- You will have experience in human resource management information systems.
Ability to:
- Employ a high level of communication and interpersonal skills
- Apply strong people management and leadership skills
- Apply critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving skills to deal with complex and sensitive organisational matters
- Interpret and apply sound judgement where documented precedents and procedures are not available
- Plan, organise and manage complex workforce issues in a dynamic work environment
- think strategically to identify organisational impacts of human resource policies, processes and procedures.
- Start ASAP (pending Federal Police Clearance)
- 6 Months assignment with possibility to be extended
- Full time hours Monday to Friday
- Adelaide location
- $60 to $70 hourly + Super
