About the Role
Chandler Macleod is recruiting for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst
to join a global leader in the engineering and manufacturing sector. This is a short-term contract role (3-6 months), ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and provide critical financial support during a transitional period.
You will act as a business partner to the Asia Director, supporting operations across multiple countries while being based in Sydney. The role is hands-on and focused on month-end processes, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with opportunities to contribute to broader commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of month-end duties and reporting.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Resolve job costing issues within ERP systems.
- Analyze product margins and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with regional teams and local finance colleagues.
- 3–7 years’ experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
- Background in manufacturing industry strongly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with large ERP systems (SAP desirable).
- CPA qualified or working towards completion.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to work independently.
- Duration: 3-6 months (up to 6 months maximum).
- Start Date: Ideally January, but late December possible.
- Location: Artarmon office, hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH).
