Location:  Artarmon, Sydney NSW
Work Type:  Contract | Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)

About the Role

Chandler Macleod is recruiting for an experienced  Senior Financial Analyst  to join a global leader in the engineering and manufacturing sector. This is a  short-term contract role (3-6 months), ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and provide critical financial support during a transitional period.

You will act as a business partner to the Asia Director, supporting operations across multiple countries while being based in Sydney. The role is hands-on and focused on month-end processes, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with opportunities to contribute to broader commercial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of month-end duties and reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Resolve job costing issues within ERP systems.
• Analyze product margins and provide insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with regional teams and local finance colleagues.

About You

• 3–7 years’ experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
• Background in  manufacturing industry  strongly preferred.
• Advanced  Microsoft Excel  skills; experience with large ERP systems (SAP desirable).
• CPA qualified or working towards completion.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to work independently.

Contract Details

• Duration:  3-6 months (up to 6 months maximum).
• Start Date:  Ideally January, but late December possible.
• Location:  Artarmon office, hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH).
