Senior Finance Business Partner

(Temporary Contract)
Location: Inner Melbourne
Contract Length:  ASAP – 15 May 2026
Hours: Full-time, 38 hrs/week
Rate:$72.73–$74.98 per hour + super
Work Pattern: Monday–Friday, Business Hours

About the Opportunity
A fantastic temporary opportunity for an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to step into a key role supporting budgeting, financial planning, management reporting, and stakeholder engagement. This position backfills an internal secondment and requires someone who can confidently work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, monitoring and review of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, financial forecasts and performance analysis.
  • Partner with business units to provide expert financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist with year-end financial statements & audit.
  • Provide system support across financial platforms (TechnologyOne or similar).
  • Contribute to process improvements, policy updates, and financial governance.
What We’re Looking For
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business.
  • CPA/CA (or progress toward) highly regarded.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar senior financial/accounting role.
  • Strong capability in budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with both financial and non-financial teams.
  • Experience with TechnologyOne or another major financial management system.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
