About the Opportunity
We are seeking two experienced Senior Mechanical Engineers
to join a our highly sought client. These roles offer the chance to contribute to the design, development, and technical assurance of key water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the state. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert engineering advice, design input, and project support for studies and infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level technical investigation, design, review, and advisory services for mechanical systems.
- Provide mechanical engineering support across major projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and water treatment plants.
- Contribute to the development and review of technical standards and design documentation.
- Support the implementation of Safety in Design (SiD) principles across all project phases.
- Liaise with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to ensure fit-for-purpose, cost-effective outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation – essential.
- Demonstrated mechanical engineering experience in the water industry, ideally across pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities (wastewater experience highly regarded).
- Proven ability in the design and specification of mechanical components such as pumps, valves, and filtration systems.
- Strong hydraulic knowledge, including:
- Pump selection and system design
- Surge modelling and mitigation
- Sizing of surge vessels, PSVs, and PRV
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
