About the Role
The Senior Digital Marketing Officer will lead the design, development, and optimisation of digital channels. Using an evidence‑based and human‑centred approach, you will enhance online presence, strengthen user experience, and drive targeted engagement with key audiences.
You will provide expert guidance across digital strategy, content management, UX, analytics, and marketing execution. A key part of the role involves creating compelling content, refining digital touchpoints, and building capability across the broader team.
This role also collaborates widely across the organisation to support strategic communications and initiatives that uplift the profile and impact of teachers and school leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead digital strategy, design, delivery, and continuous improvement across web and digital channels.
- Manage website content using CMS platforms (Drupal experience highly regarded).
- Oversee digital marketing activities—including social media, analytics, and targeted campaigns.
- Create engaging, audience‑centric content aligned to organisational priorities.
- Optimise user experience through research, insights and evidence‑based enhancements.
- Provide expert advice across communications, digital channels, and stakeholder engagement.
- Mentor team members and build digital capability across the organisation.
- Proven experience delivering creative, audience‑focused digital strategies and content.
- Strong capability managing websites, social media, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and SAAS platforms for UX, research, and digital advertising.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and deliver outcomes at pace.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous digital improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across formal and informal channels.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to build capability and drive accountability.
- Experience in a large, complex, or high-performing digital/communications environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in digital, communications, marketing, or related fields.
