Senior Development Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Development Manager for our client, a NSW Government agency based in Parramatta. This is an initial contract until  20/03/2026, with a strong possibility of extension due to a significant pipeline of projects. The pay rate is $99.00–$104.00/hour (flat rate regardless of PAYG or ABN) for 40 hours per week, and hybrid working arrangements are available with 5-day fortnight in the office. 

The Senior Development Manager will oversee the full delivery process of 9 Refuge Projects at various stages, including construction, Crown Certificate, design and approval, and site identification. The role involves consultant engagement, managing design development in collaboration with internal Design & Planning staff, DCJ, and service providers. You will also manage the tender and award process, builder engagement, and oversee external Contract Administrators. 

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple housing projects across various stages.
• Engage and coordinate consultants, builders, and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee design development, tendering, contract administration, and construction.
• Ensure compliance with project timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements.
• Liaise with government and service provider stakeholders to ensure project success.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Development Manager overseeing residential construction or housing delivery projects, ideally within government or community housing sectors or similar
• Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
• White card and valid driver’s licence are mandatory.
