About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced  Senior Compliance & Industrial Relations Advisor  to join a leading organisation in Osborne Park.
This is a pivotal role for a professional who thrives in a  fast-paced operational environment, combining expertise in  industrial relations (IR)  with strong  compliance, risk assessment, and  workforce operations  knowledge.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the organisation’s operations align with  Enterprise Agreements  and  organisational policies, while driving process improvements across  rostering and scheduling (R&S)  functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and Apply Industrial Instruments:  Collaborate with People & Culture to interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and organisational policies to ensure operational compliance.
  • Provide Expert Guidance:  Advise operational teams on Enterprise Agreement conditions, policy entitlements, and rostering obligations.
  • Oversee Rostering & Scheduling (R&S):  Ensure quality standards and organisational policies are applied consistently across all operational activities.
  • Conduct Compliance Audits:  Undertake reviews and audits to assess compliance, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Lead EA Implementation:  Manage the operationalisation of new Enterprise Agreements, including gap analysis, process redesign, and change management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Partner with People & Culture and operational leaders to support the compliant implementation of new agreements and policies.
  • Monitor and Analyse R&S Practices:  Identify compliance risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop Risk Mitigation Strategies:  Recommend actions to reduce risk and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure Consistency Statewide:  Collaborate with R&S teams and service delivery leaders to maintain compliant practices across all locations.
  • Liaise with Workforce Optimisation:  Act as a key link between operational teams and the Workforce Optimisation function.
  • Reporting and Insights:  Develop and maintain compliance performance metrics and reporting frameworks.
You will bring:
  • Proven experience in  Industrial Relations, Compliance, or Risk Assessment  within complex or large organisations.
  • Strong ability to  interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements  and Awards.
  • Experience with  rostering, scheduling, and workforce planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead  compliance reviews, audits, and change initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
