Senior Community Engagement and regularoty Specialist (6-Month Temporary Role)
Location: Perth
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Community Engagement and Regularatory Specialist
to join our clients team on a 6-month temporary contract. This pivotal role will lead the development and delivery of best-practice community engagement strategies that directly support regulatory obligations, particularly the Access Arrangement 6 (AA6) submission.
About the Role
This role you will see you accountable for ensuring that engagement activities—whether linked to customer-funded initiatives or major infrastructure projects are aligned with both regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
You will work closely with internal business units to gather input, shape engagement plans, and deliver targeted communications that foster trust, transparency, and credibility with stakeholders and the community.
By proactively engaging communities, you will help to:
- Enhance understanding of infrastructure and maintenance programs
- Mitigate reputational and operational risks
- Strengthen the credibility of the regulatory submissions
- Ensure stakeholder insights are effectively integrated into planning and decision-making processes
- Lead the design and execution of community engagement strategies aligned to AA6 and other regulatory obligations
- Partner with internal stakeholders to gather insights and translate them into practical engagement plans
- Drive proactive and targeted engagement with communities, government, and industry stakeholders
- Ensure clear communication of infrastructure projects and customer-funded initiatives
- Capture, analyse, and integrate stakeholder feedback to inform business decisions
We are seeking a professional with:
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement, regulatory communications, or stakeholder relations
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments, ideally within utilities, energy, or infrastructure sectors
- Proven ability to design and deliver engagement strategies for complex projects
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and strategic mindset with the ability to mitigate risks and manage sensitive issues
