Job Title: Senior Communications Advisor (Delivery)
Location: North Coast Region (QLD)
Pay Level: $77.02–$82.40/hour depending on experience
We’re looking for a confident and strategic Senior Communications Advisor (Delivery)
to join a passionate team supporting the rollout of major infrastructure projects across the North Coast Region. If you’re experienced in stakeholder engagement, love leading a team, and thrive in a fast-paced environment this could be the role for you.
About the Role You’ll work closely with the Senior Project Engagement Advisor to lead and manage communication activities for a range of road and transport infrastructure projects. This includes everything from stakeholder engagement and media relations to community updates and executive correspondence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and coordinate stakeholder and community engagement during project delivery
- Provide strategic advice on communications approaches, messaging, and issue management
- Guide and support a team of communication officers, ensuring consistency and quality across all materials
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and media to promote project understanding and collaboration
- Develop tailored communication content that meets accessibility and brand guidelines
- Provide training and support to staff, consultants, and contractors to improve communications capability
- Ensure governance and communication standards are met throughout all project stages
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in communications, stakeholder engagement or media—ideally within infrastructure, construction or government projects
- Excellent writing, editing and content development skills
- Strong leadership and project coordination experience
- Confident in managing issues and providing practical, timely advice to various stakeholders
- A team player with a proactive mindset and ability to juggle multiple priorities
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree in communications, journalism, or public relations (preferred)
- Current Class C Driver’s License (preferred)
- IAP2 Engagement certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background in infrastructure or transport-related projects highly regarded
- Willingness to undergo a criminal history check as part of the onboarding process
