An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Civil Design Project Manager to join a local council and support the delivery of civil infrastructure projects across the capital works program.
This role suits candidates with strong local council experience, proven civil project delivery capability, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage civil engineering projects from planning and design through to delivery
• Lead and coordinate project teams, consultants, and contractors
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and contracts in line with council policies
• Communicate technical information clearly to the general public and stakeholders
• Address community enquiries and concerns in a professional manner

About You

• Demonstrated experience working within a local council or government environment
• Proven experience in project and contract management of civil engineering projects
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders
• Experience leading and motivating project teams
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Skills & Experience

• Civil engineering background

• Sound understanding of council processes and governance
