Senior Associate, Monitoring & Evaluation

About the Role
We are looking for two Senior Associates to support monitoring and evaluation work across a major NSW grant and infrastructure program. You will review project proposals, assess expected outcomes and benefits, analyse data, and provide clear insights to help guide investment decisions.
This role is hands‑on and suited to someone who enjoys evaluation work, analysing information, preparing reports, and engaging with stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Review infrastructure and community project proposals.
• Analyse expected project outcomes, benefits, risks, and assumptions.
• Conduct evaluations using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Prepare reports, summaries, dashboards, and insights for decision-makers.
• Support ongoing monitoring across multiple funded programs.
• Work with stakeholders to clarify project details and provide feedback.
• Use analytical tools (including AI tools where helpful) to support evaluation work.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years experience in evaluation, impact assessment, analytics or similar.
• Strong understanding of evaluation methods and data collection.
• Ability to analyse information and translate it into simple, clear insights.
• Confident communicator who can engage with different stakeholders.
• Comfortable reviewing detailed project documents and giving feedback.

Nice to have:

• Experience evaluating infrastructure, social, education, or health projects.
• Experience with grant programs or Smarter Grants.
• Understanding of NSW grants processes (not essential).
