Strategic Communications Manager

Doncaster | 3 Month Contract with potential for extension
$65–$75 per hour + super 

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Communications professional to focus on the production of key publications within a large, complex organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape messaging at scale, influence stakeholders, and contribute to meaningful outcomes for the community.

About the Role 
• Develop and implement integrated communication programs underpinned by best practice engagement and behaviour change principles
• Build a deep understanding of stakeholder and community needs to design strategies that improve engagement and outcomes
• Lead and deliver innovative communications projects, leveraging digital and emerging technologies
• Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders to ensure messaging supports organisational priorities
• Monitor reputational risks, manage crisis communication responses, and implement mitigation frameworks
• Prepare and deliver performance and budget reports to senior management
• Oversee supplier contracts and ensure effective project delivery
• Collaborate across divisions to deliver consistent, high-quality communications and engagement
• Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace culture

About You
• Postgraduate qualification or industry certification in communications, PR, marketing, or journalism or equivalent senior-level experience
• Proven expertise in strategic communication strategy, delivery, and evaluation within large, complex organisations
• Strong understanding of employee communication and behaviour change models
• Experience leading large-scale communication projects from concept to implementation
• Outstanding communication, analytical and business writing skills with digital and social media proficiency
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build credibility across senior levels
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and contracts effectively
• A current Victorian Driver Licence
