Senior Advisor – Corporate Governance
VPS 6.1
(6 Month Contract)
Location: Melbourne CBD (hybrid, 4 days in office per week)

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Advisor  to support the Commissioner, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team during a period of organisational transformation. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role where you’ll play a critical part in advancing governance and stakeholder engagement priorities while ensuring operational objectives are delivered effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate high-quality briefings, papers, documentation, and presentations for senior executives and ministers.
  • Support planning and coordination of organisational initiatives and divisional priorities.
  • Manage project and governance documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance.
  • Contribute to improvements in culture, efficiency, and workplace wellbeing.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint (essential).
  • Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex information and translate it into clear and compelling documents.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and proactive – thrives in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with a focus on governance and continuous improvement.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in public policy, law, or a related field (desirable).
