Secondary Design Drafter - Technical Officer
 
Our client, a dynamic and innovative electricity distribution company, is seeking a skilled Technical Officer - Secondary Design, to contribute to a high-profile brownfield project. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to showcase their expertise in secondary design within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
 
Tasks:

• Produce detailed technical drawings (e.g., wiring diagrams, schematics) to support the implementation of protection and control systems, as directed by engineers
• Perform draft quality assurance (cross-checking) for other Secondary Designs on an ad-hoc basis.

 
Required Skills:
 

• Detailed knowledge of CAD design (or equivalent), electrical networks, operation, and construction plans.  
• Detailed knowledge of the design process, and the design activities undertaken within each function.
• Detail knowledge of Primary Plant interface to secondary systems.
• Knowledge of SCADA and communication systems within a substation      
• Proven experience in the power industry
• Strong knowledge of electrical networks, construction plans, and safety design practices.

 
Education / Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Certificate of Technology IV in ESI Power Systems / Associate Diploma Electrical Engineering

 
Location: Melbourne, Victoria
Work From Home: 2 days p/w
Duration: 6 Months
Start Date: Immediate
