A driven and customer-focused Sales & Customer Support Representative is sought to help drive sales growth while delivering exceptional service to customers across Australia.
This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a passion for helping customers find the right solutions, and a solid understanding of the Australian industrial market to identify trends, customer needs, and business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales
• Respond to inbound sales enquiries via phone and email, recommend suitable products, and close deals efficiently.
• Prepare accurate and timely quotations, following up to ensure high conversion rates.
• Maintain customer engagement throughout the sales process by creating urgency, emphasising value, and providing regular updates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
• Stay informed about industry trends and product developments, providing market insights to help guide strategy.
Customer Support
• Manage customer enquiries across multiple channels, including phone, email, live chat, and ticketing systems.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the product range to answer questions confidently and accurately.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting, ensuring solutions meet Australian standards.
• Process warranty claims and spare parts requests accurately.
• Record customer interactions in the CRM and contribute to the creation of FAQs and support documentation.
Requirements
• Strong understanding of the Australian industrial market, including customer needs and competitor landscape.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, customer service, or a related role – experience in industrial, agricultural, or automotive sectors highly regarded.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple enquiries and follow-ups efficiently.
• Adaptable, personable, and skilled in building rapport with a variety of customers.
• Experience with Shopify and Zendesk (or similar e-commerce and CRM platforms) is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical or technical products is a plus.
