Safety in Design Advisor – Government Capital Projects
Adelaide, SA
6-month contract with possible extension
$565 daily rate | Immediate start available
We are currently partnering with a key government organisation to support their continued focus on safe and sustainable capital project delivery. We’re seeking a Safety in Design Advisor
with a strong background in WHS, design processes, and stakeholder engagement to support a growing portfolio of work in the capital delivery space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a constructive and safety-driven culture within capital design and delivery teams.
- Provide advice and guidance on Safety in Design (SiD) principles and processes across all phases of the asset lifecycle.
- Support the Safety in Design Specialist in promoting safe design practices.
- Facilitate workshops, implement consultative safety processes, and assist with monitoring, audits and reporting.
- Ensure visibility of SiD practices across business groups and support consistent education and application.
- Partner with key stakeholders and provide clear communication across design, safety, and engineering teams.
- Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience relevant to design, engineering, or WHS.
- Solid experience in capital project delivery or asset lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of Safety in Design systems and WHS principles.
- Facilitation and internal training experience highly regarded.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with safety legislation, internal auditing, or risk management (desirable).
- Adelaide-based role with potential intra/interstate travel.
- Flexible hours may be required.
- Candidates must be willing to undergo required medicals, police checks, and immunisations as applicable.
