We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join a dynamic mining operation. This is a unique opportunity to take a leadership role in driving safety initiatives, shaping workplace culture, and making a real impact on operational excellence. You will oversee safety management systems, provide expert guidance, and influence decision-making to maintain a safe, compliant, and innovative work environment.
  Key Responsibilities: 
  
  
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of site safety management systems.
- Conduct proactive hazard identification and implement innovative solutions to prevent incidents.
- Provide strategic safety advice to management and influence operational decisions.
- Drive a culture of safety-first by mentoring and coaching team members.
- Lead incident investigations with a focus on root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into operational planning and execution.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on safety KPIs, identifying trends and implementing improvement strategies.
- Champion initiatives that enhance employee engagement, wellbeing, and overall workplace culture.
- Proven experience in mining or heavy industry safety, ideally in complex operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of mining safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience leading incident investigations and implementing safety improvement initiatives.
- Proactive, solution-focused, and able to drive cultural change.
- High level of accountability, integrity, and commitment to fostering a safe workplace.
- Relevant safety qualifications or certifications.
