Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineer (RPEQ) with a minimum of 6 years’ experience to support a diverse portfolio of Future Energy projects, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), wind farms, a green hydrogen facility, and a gas plant.
This is a Brisbane-based contract role for an initial period of 6 months, with strong potential for extension or transition into a permanent position. Flexible working arrangements are available, with a hybrid model currently operating at approximately 2–3 days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support across control systems, networking, HMI, SCADA, and associated OT activities for operational assets.
- Lead and contribute to the Management of Change process, including review and approval of contractor modifications and risk assessments.
- Participate in Safety in Design activities such as HAZOP and CHAZOP.
- Support OT improvement initiatives including cybersecurity uplift, documentation, and knowledge base development.
- Assist with specification development, standardisation, and manual updates.
- Apply electrical engineering capabilities to support minor design changes, protection logic reviews, and as-built documentation updates.
Required Expertise
- RPEQ certification
- Strong background in control systems, PLCs, industrial networking and protocols
- Experience with HMI development, alarm management, and OT cybersecurity
- Knowledge of process safety, functional safety, and electrical systems (ELV & LV)
- Prior experience supporting energy infrastructure projects is highly desirable
