Roadworker

An opportunity is available for a motivated and reliable Road Worker to join a busy works depot team. This role is hands-on, physically active, and perfect for individuals who enjoy outdoor manual work and contributing to vital road maintenance and construction projects across the region. Work may occur across multiple LGAs including Dubbo Regional, Gilgandra, Narromine, Warren, Parkes and Walgett

You’ll be performing a variety of routine, repetitive, and team-based tasks involving hand tools, power tools, and machinery. You will also support more experienced trades and machinery operators in delivering safe and efficient road-related works.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance on established pavements
• Assist with construction of new or upgraded pavements
• Install and maintain roadside fixtures, signage, and related assets
• Apply road marking materials and bituminous sealing products
• Work collaboratively within a maintenance crew across several local government areas
• Perform duties outside normal hours, including travel and overnight stays as required

Skills & Experience
Required:

• Physically fit and capable of performing outdoor manual work
• White Card
• Current driver’s licence
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Traffic control capability (mandatory upon commencement)

Preferred:

• Road maintenance or road construction experience
• Truck licence
