About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Road Worker / Truck Driver to join their maintenance team based in Hay. This role involves a mix of physical road maintenance tasks, routine inspections, and operation of an MR truck to support daily activities.

The position offers stability, a supportive team environment, and strong potential for long‑term extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete routine and repetitive road maintenance tasks using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
  
  
• Perform daily inspections using an MR truck
  
  
• Transport crew members and tow equipment as required
  
  
• Respond to call‑outs and attend site issues promptly
  
  
• Assist with a variety of maintenance activities, including:
  
  
  • Road pavement repairs
    
    
  • Guardrail work
    
    
  • Sign installation and repairs
    
    
  • Traffic control duties
    
    
  • Pothole repairs
    
    
  • Shoves and patching
    
    
  • Guidepost installation
    
    
  • Rubbish and debris collection

• C Class Driver Licence
  
  
• MR Licence or above (highly desirable)
  
  
• TC – Traffic Control (or willingness to obtain)
  
  

• Experience in road maintenance, construction, or similar physical work
  
  
• Ability to work safely and follow direction from team leaders
  
  
• Confident operating an MR truck
  
  
• Reliable, committed, and team‑focused
  
  
• Physically capable of performing labour‑intensive tasks
