About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Road Worker to join their team in Singleton. The role involves carrying out a variety of labouring, maintenance and construction tasks while safely using small plant and hand tools.
You’ll work both independently and as part of a supportive team that values safety, quality and great outcomes for the community. Some periods may require living away from home, with camping paid under the award.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and complex labouring and road maintenance tasks
- Safely operate small plant and powered/non‑powered tools such as footpath rollers and concrete saws
- Complete safety checks, basic maintenance and accurate work records
- Resolve routine issues and escalate more complex matters
- Apply knowledge of WHS legislation, risk controls and safe work behaviours
- Follow environmental guidelines, identify hazards and support compliance
- Meet quality standards, including basic quality checks and documentation
- Experience as a labourer and operating plant/trucks in contractor or government environments
- Civil construction experience or Certificate III in Civil Construction (or equivalent)
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills to manage documentation and workplace communication
- Construction Induction White Card
- Australian Driver Licence
- Worker on Foot Ticket
- Heavy Vehicle Licence
- Traffic Controller Card – Implement Traffic Control Plan
- Traffic Controller Card – Prepare Work Zone
