We’re partnering with a globally recognised apparel brand to recruit an experienced Retail Manager to oversee their Queensland store network. Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager, this is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll take ownership of sales, KPIs, and team performance across multiple retail locations, while supporting Brand Advisors in major department stores.

This is a hands-on position that suits a leader who thrives in the field rather than behind a desk. You’ll spend time on the road visiting stores, coaching managers, and ensuring brand standards and customer experience remain exceptional. With nine direct reports, your ability to motivate, drive results, and manage operational performance will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and support Store Managers to exceed sales targets and KPIs (conversion, ATV, UPT)
  • Ensure stores are visually on-brand, operationally efficient, and customer-focused
  • Manage wage budgets, rosters, timesheets, and expenses to maximise productivity
  • Partner with the Commercial Team to roll out strategic sales and promotional initiatives
  • Support Brand Advisors in department stores to maintain standards and performance
  • Oversee merchandising compliance, operational processes, and staff training

What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of retail leadership, ideally within apparel, fashion, swimwear, or footwear
  • Previous experience as a Store Manager or Area/District Manager with multiple direct reports
  • Demonstrated ability to drive profitability and improve store performance
  • Strong communication skills and confidence managing difficult conversations
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and act on retail performance data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail systems (POS, Humanforce desirable)
  • Full driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively across Queensland
  • A qualification in Business or Retail Management is desirable but not essential

What's in it for you?
  • Be part of a premium global brand with a proud heritage and strong growth trajectory
  • Lead a diverse retail portfolio with autonomy and variety in your day-to-day role
  • Join a supportive and passionate team that values individuality and innovation
  • Enjoy a role that keeps you connected with people and stores, not stuck behind a desk
