This role is based in Perth's CBD, Monday to Friday, 40 hour working week with some flexibility to work from home.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Rehabilitation Planning Specialist to join the Rehabilitation & Closure team, helping to shape the future of mine rehabilitation efforts. If you’re passionate about land restoration and have a knack for planning and design, this role could be your next career step.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying technical skills to plan, schedule, and design rehabilitation projects at Pilbara operations
  • Identifying opportunities for progressive rehabilitation and contributing to planning processes
  • Engaging with stakeholders internally and externally to negotiate positive outcomes
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Managing risks and driving initiatives to reduce mining impacts and closure liabilities
  • Developing detailed, practical rehabilitation designs and documentation
  • Supporting project implementation through conformance assessments and reconciliations
About You
The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise and proactive problem-solving skills. This role suits someone with a background in mine and mine closure design, coupled with hands-on experience in mone rehabilitation.

You’ll need:
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, earth sciences, or a related field, with minimum 5 years design experience
  • Proven knowledge of mine planning, surveying, or similar disciplines
  • Experience in mining, rehabilitation, civil works, or earthworks
  • Skills in using Vulcan, CAD, planning software, and GIS packages
  • A strong ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
  • Full Australian working rights
