Our client is seeking a highly motivated Regional Stores Officer in Dubbo to oversee day-to-day stores operations within a busy regional environment. This key role ensures the safe, secure, and efficient handling of stores and materials while supporting the achievement of operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the movement of stores and materials accurately and efficiently according to standard operating procedures.
  • Optimize space utilization within regional stores, maximizing plant and equipment usage.
  • Inspect, receive, and load incoming stores into appropriate storage systems to prevent damage and loss.
  • Collaborate with management to implement process improvements that enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Conduct timely stock counts of high-value strategic items following agreed schedules.
  • Provide prompt emergency service support to meet urgent customer materials requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking and ensure optimal stock management.
  • Participate in workplace safety and environment audits, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of non-conformances.
  • Engage regularly with depot teams to maintain high customer service standards and drive continuous improvements.
  • Operate mobile plant and equipment such as forklifts and hoists safely to maintain an accident-free environment.
Qualifications & Licences Required:
  • Certificate III in Warehousing Operations or equivalent experience.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence.
  • Forklift Licence.
  • Heavy Rigid Truck Licence (desirable).
Experience & Skills:
  • Proven experience in stores operations within a large organizational environment.
  • Skilled in stock management, including unloading, inspecting, receipting, storing, and loading materials.
  • Knowledgeable in safe use of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Experience conducting stock audits and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in relevant computer systems and business applications.
