About The Position
The Regional Electrical Maintenance Officer provides maintenance service to electrical, electronic, communication and mechanical equipment within designated areas within the Wheatbelt Region.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintenance of electrical, electronic, communication and mechanical systems and equipment including refrigeration, air-conditioning, sterilisers, hot water boilers, laundry machinery, plant and kitchen equipment
• Troubleshooting to identify problems, appropriate solutions and undertake repairs
• Maintenance to networked operating systems
• Planned and preventative maintenance as per maintenance programme
• Repairs where necessary through the Job Requisition programme & Maintenance programme
• Carry out modifications as required
• Assist in commissioning new systems
• Ad hoc repairs where necessary
• Modifications and alterations, including all facets of building maintenance
• Water testing and dosing as required
• Maintain plant rooms and workshop
• Compile monthly readings as required
• After-hours availability service in response to emergency services and maintenance problems as required

Essential

• “A” Class Electrical licence
• Current C or C-A Class driver’s licence
• Successful Criminal Record Screening Clearance
• Successful Pre-Employment Health Assessment
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical regulations, standards and legislation
• Sound oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in computerised engineering works management systems and Window based programmes
• Experience in general building and equipment maintenance tasks
• Experience with energy management systems (highly desirable)
