SAED Property & Planning Specialist – 6-Month Contract
Location: North Sydney (Full-time Onsite – 5 days/week)

Chandler Macleod is partnering with a leading global telecommunications organisation to recruit a SAED Property & Planning Specialist for a major national network deployment program. This role is based onsite in North Sydney and offers significant potential for extension beyond the initial 6-month contract.

About the Role

As part of the SAED Property & Planning team, you will play a key role in progressing sites through the property, planning, and approvals lifecycle. You’ll work closely with technical and delivery teams to ensure property pathways, consents, and negotiations are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Property Review, Analysis & Pathway Identification

  • Analyse tenure agreements to determine required property pathways for consent.
  • Conduct title and document searches, including encumbrances affecting tenure.
  • Provide advice to internal teams on property constraints and feasibility.
Design & Consent Support
  • Review design drawings to identify property issues and ensure SAED deliverables can be met.
  • Collaborate with SAED Delivery Managers, Design Engineers, RF Engineers and Planning teams on design changes and solutions.
Property Negotiations & Consent Delivery
  • Secure property consent in various forms (as-of-right, variations, renewals, surrenders ®grants).
  • Renegotiate tenure agreements when required to enable build commencement.
  • Address landlord concerns regarding works, planning, EME matters, and site impacts.
Stakeholder Management
  • Obtain internal property approvals within project timelines.
  • Engage with legal representatives and property consultants for tenure renegotiations and LAAN advice.
  • Participate in collaborative solutioning to minimise impacts on adjacent or parallel projects.
Documentation, Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare and issue co-site notices, e-zone letters, and site-sharing agreements.
  • Monitor and report on property deliverables, risks, and milestones.
  • Attend project and stakeholder meetings as required.
Planning & Community Engagement
  • Prepare, lodge, and manage:
    • Development Applications (DA)
    • Complying Development Certificates (CDC)
    • Deployment Code assessments
  • Support community consultation and stakeholder dispute resolution activities.
  • Assist the National SAED team as required.
About You  

You will ideally bring:
  • Experience in SAED, telecommunications property, infrastructure planning, or related property roles.
  • Strong understanding of tenure agreements, property consent pathways, and title search analysis.
  • Ability to interpret design drawings and identify property constraints.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with DA/CDC processes and planning frameworks (highly beneficial).
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
