Government department committed to delivering quality housing solutions and support for members of the community who rely on their services. Their extensive portfolio includes a diverse range of properties, managed with the aim of providing safe, well-maintained, and accessible housing options. Currently seeking for a talented Property Admin to join their busy team for a casual 3 months temporary assignment with potential to extend.


About the Role

As a Property Officer, you will play a key role in assisting with day-to-day activities that keep our properties in excellent condition and our tenants satisfied. If you’re organised, customer-focused, and eager to be part of a dynamic team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Other duties are as follows:

  • Respond to routine phone and email enquiries with professionalism and friendliness, providing excellent customer service to tenants, landlords, and contractors.
  • Assist with property administration tasks such as raising work orders, requesting quotations, scheduling inspections, and following up on repairs or warranty issues.
  • Coordinate vacancy inspections and grounds maintenance to prepare properties for new tenants or upcoming rentals.
  • Support the team by managing appointments, maintaining documentation, and following established procedures for daily transactions.
  • Participate in team meetings, offering ideas for process improvements and better service delivery.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as needed to ensure efficient property operations.

 
About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Proven experience in a similar property support, general administration, or customer service role
  • Baseline Security Clearance is required
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries


Benefits
 
  • ASAP Start Date pending clearance
  • Casual 3-months Temporary Assignment with potential to extend
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • $45 - $55 per hour + super
  • Melbourne, VIC location
